Hey everyone! I’ve been playing Minecraft for a few years now and recently started thinking about hosting my own server to play with friends. I'm on a tight budget, so I'm looking for the best free Minecraft server hosting options in 2024. Can anyone recommend a reliable service that doesn't have too many restrictions or hidden costs? It would be great if the server could handle a decent number of players without lagging.

Aternos is solid, never any queue or wait time to start the server but limited features like render distance can only go up a certain amount to allocate more room for all the users.
I've tried a bunch but most have a queue and that just ruins it for me, if I log on to play I don't want to wait and I never have to for Aternos l, also never any lag or anything while playing

Hosting a server for free can be a bit tricky because there are many providers with different levels of service. One option I've tried and can recommend is Godlike. What I like about them is that they don’t have too many restrictions compared to other free hosts, and the performance is surprisingly good for a free service.
